New York state code does not allow a building to be classified as a garage unless it has a non-combustible floor.
For cars and trucks - count on at least 12' x 24' per vehicle. The vehicle storage unit overhead doors are 9' x 7' wide and 9' x 8' doors are available also.
For two bays - we advise a 24' x 24' minimum. Remember you want some added space in the garage so you an open doors without hitting the vehicle next to them. 24' x 24' in a two bay garage won't give you too much room to use the interior walls for storage or hanging items. Call or e-mail us for our onsite crew to build you the garage of your dreams. If you're looking for some storage in your new two car garage, 24' x 30' allows you enough space for the vehicles and to store something else like your lawn mower, or bicycles. There is even room to build a work bench, or storage shelves.
Vehicle Storage buildings come standard with a 9' x 7' Overhead door, 36" side door, metal sill plate, pressure treated floor, and two windows. The side wall height is 7' 4.5" on a cottage and 6' 4.5" on a high wall with a 4/12 or 5/12 pitch.
If we don't have it in stock... don't worry we can make it for you in the colors and options of your choosing.
